Honorary Conductor Laureate Kenichiro Kobayashi Wins Bartók Radio Music Award

The Bartók Radio Music Awards, a classical music broadcasting station of the Hungarian National Television, have selected two performances by the MÁV Symphony Orchestra (May 2024/24.25) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian competition won by Japan Philharmonic Honorary Conductor Kenichiro Kobayashi, and the 50th anniversary of his Hungarian debut, as the "Best Concert of the Year 2024-2025."

This award is given to the best concert of the year, and the concert held to celebrate the 50th anniversary was held in two separate halls, and the current President of Hungary was in attendance on the day. Tickets for both venues sold out immediately after they went on sale, making it a huge success with full houses.
