[Notice] Change of performers for "Kobaken World Vol. 39" on Sunday, March 23, 2025
Thank you for always attending Japan Philharmonic concerts.
Pianist Ayano Kobayashi, who was scheduled to appear at Kobaken World Vol. 39 on March 23, 2025, will have to withdraw from the performance as she is currently undergoing treatment for a fingertip that will require further time for recovery.
All members of the orchestra pray for Ayano Kobayashi's speedy recovery.
Kyoko Tabe (piano) will be the soloist on the day. There will be no changes to the conductor or program.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Kyoko Tabe for taking on the role of substitute.

While attending the Tokyo University of the Arts High School, he won first place at the Japan Music Competition at the age of 17. He studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and won first place at the Épinal International Piano Competition and the Schnabel Competition, and third place at the Munich International Music Competition (ARD). He has performed with numerous orchestras both in Japan and abroad, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and Moscow Philharmonic, and is highly trusted by the world's top artists, who have also selected him as a chamber musician.

His recital series (since 2003 at Hama-rikyu Asahi Hall) has featured works by Schubert, Schumann, Beethoven, Brahms, and others, and his "Schubert Plus" series from 2016 to 2022 has also been a huge success. He also attracted attention with his performance of "Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 21," an insert piece for the NHK drama "Natsume Soseki's Wife."
In 2020, he received high praise for performing two pieces in one night at Suntory Hall: Beethoven's "Piano Concerto in D major, Op. 61a (the piano concerto version of the Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61)" and "Emperor." In January 2022, he attracted much attention with the world premiere of "Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 21 Piano Concerto Version (arranged by Takashi Yoshimatsu)," dedicated to Kyoko Tabe, and in August, he held the Kansai premiere in Osaka. In 2023, he will celebrate the 30th anniversary of his CD debut, and the release of "Melody" was selected as a special selection and received rave reviews.
