We held a fundraising campaign in response to the heavy rains on the Noto Peninsula on November 25, 2024.
The torrential rains that occurred on September 21st have caused extensive damage in the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. In response to this, Friend of the JPO Junichi Hirokami, who is also the artistic leader of the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, proposed a fundraising campaign, which the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and Suntory Hall agreed to, at the venue of the "Japan Philharmonic Orchestra & Suntory Hall 5th Nijikura" concert on September 25th.
After the performance, Junichi Hirokami (conductor), Katsunori Takahashi (navigator) and members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, who appeared in "Nijikura," made a speech in the lobby, and received warm words of encouragement from the audience. Thank you very much to everyone who cooperated.
The donations were handed over to Ishikawa Prefecture Vice Governor Hiroshi Tokuda by Junichi Hirokami at the Ishikawa Prefectural Office on September 27th.
We pray that those affected by the disaster will be able to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
