Japan Philharmonic YouTube "Understand in 2 minutes! Introduction to the Orchestra for Adults" launches

If you know about that famous piece, that composer, that instrument... this story will make your concert 10 times more enjoyable. Watching this will make you want to go to a concert, as it condenses various ways to enjoy an orchestra into 2 minutes!!!

Noriko Murakami, a film producer and council member of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, is becoming increasingly immersed in classical music, and her simple questions are answered by music critic Yoshimichi Okuda, who is well acquainted with the classical music world and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. This friendly program opens the door to classical music from a variety of perspectives.

Yoshimichi Okuda: Music critic
He studied violin, German literature, and Western music history in Vienna.
In addition to contributing to "Ongaku no Tomo" and other publications, he has appeared on numerous music programs. He was the fourth commentator on NHK's "Ongaku no Izumi" (Fountain of Music). He currently appears on the late-night radio program "Classical Genetics." He is a lecturer at the Asahi Culture Centers in Shinjuku, Nakanoshima, and Kitakyushu.

Noriko Murakami: Film producer, TV writer
He is the planning and production producer for the films "Otokotachi no Yamato" and "Yuzuriha no Koro." He has been involved in the production and promotion of films for independent filmmakers Kihachi Okamoto and Masahiro Shinoda. He has also served as the promotion producer for numerous films, including "Yakuza Wives" and "Listen to the Voices of the Sea," at Toei and Toho. He has been involved in the planning and production of the "Nippon Cinema Classics" section at the Tokyo International Film Festival for five years. As a broadcast writer, he has written scripts for TV programs such as TBS's "Wakuwaku Dobutsu Land." He is also the 23rd head of the Murakami Kaizoku (Innoshima) family, a Japanese Heritage site. He has been a council member of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra since 2021.
