congratulations!
From 2012 to 2022, I served as the principal conductor and worked with them on various projects.
They have continued to perform regularly since then, and their next concert is scheduled to be a British program at our Tokyo regular concert on January 17th and 18th, 2025.
This is a very rare opportunity to see Maestro Kazuki Yamada conducting a Japanese orchestra.

Kazuki Yamada A truly "majestic" British music program
In recent years, we have been actively promoting a special program on British music with Kazuki Yamada. Yamada, the principal conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, one of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, has always garnered a great response, thanks to the richness of his performances. This time, the program weaves together movement and stillness, centering on Elgar's magnificent Symphony No. 2, along with "Pomp and Circumstance No. 1," beloved as the UK's second national anthem, and Vaughan Williams's "The Skylark," which evokes the tranquil beauty of ink painting. The soloist for "The Skylark" will be violinist Ryosuke Suo, whose beautiful, profound voice captivates listeners.
