"The Orchestra's Tale is Interesting" is an educational program run by the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, where participants take a central role in learning by using a variety of approaches to unravel the works featured in the regular concerts.
The theme of the event will be Mahler's Symphony No. 3, which will be performed at Kah-Chung Wong's Tokyo Regular Concert in October, which will mark his inaugural concert as Principal Conductor of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.

Michael Spencer
Educator, facilitator, and violinist. Former violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra and former head of education at the Royal Opera House. He has developed and implemented arts education programs around the world, earning high praise from various arts organizations and companies.
In Japan, with the support of the Association of Japanese Symphony Orchestras and the Agency for Cultural Affairs, he has implemented educational programs in various locations with 24 professional orchestras. In 2006, he held a workshop-style concert at Kioi Hall in the presence of Her Majesty the Empress. In 2008, Peter and the Wolf, for which he served as education director, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
In recent years, at the request of the British Society for Immunology, he has been creating and implementing arts programs across the UK with the aim of promoting coexistence between scientists, artists, and local communities. His activities have also been featured on NHK BS's "The Power of Travel." He is also a visiting professor at Ueno Gakuen University and communications director for the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
