[Announcement] Announcement regarding the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra's June 2011 performance

Thank you very much for your continued support of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
We have been carefully monitoring the developments in Russia and Ukraine over the past year, and are deeply saddened by the fact that there is still no sign of a resolution.
In this context, we have regretfully decided to cancel our invitation to Conductor Laureate and Artistic Advisor Alexander Lazarev, who was scheduled to visit Japan in June, after much discussion between the orchestra and himself, taking into consideration his situation as he lives in Moscow with his family.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.
We will continue to make adjustments so that next season we can bring you the sound of Lazarev and the Japan Philharmonic.

Alternative concerts for the 751st Tokyo Regular Concert (June 9th and 10th) and the 388th Yokohama Regular Concert (June 3rd) are currently being arranged.
We will let you know as soon as it is decided.
