Fukuma Kotaro's long-awaited recording of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1!
Backed by a string quintet from the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra,
Delicate, fresh and gorgeous pianism unfolds

During the closure of Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall (January 2021 to October 2022), the Yokohama 18th Ward Concert series will be held, touring cultural facilities such as halls and public halls in each ward of Yokohama City and presenting concertos by chamber music arrangements.
This CD is a live recording of a performance by Fukuma Kotaro and members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra held at the Tsurumi Community Cultural Center "Salvia Hall" on January 27, 2022, as part of the concert series.
Soloist Kotaro Fukuma has released CDs across a wide range of genres, and has performed with many renowned orchestras both in Japan and abroad, captivating many fans to this day. Now, he has completed the long-awaited recording of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in collaboration with a string quintet made up of talented members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concert was held amid the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which limited the number of seats available, but the soloist and string quintet members connected with each other and expressed Chopin's lyrical world with rich empathy, deeply moving the audience.
