Yoichi Ochiai x Japan Philharmonic Project: Enjoy music with all five senses. Taste and smell workshops held during the performance
Enjoy music with all five senses: Taste and smell workshops held during the performance
Sponsors: Ogawa Fragrance Co., Ltd., Kasugai Confectionery Co., Ltd. (in alphabetical order)
Based on the concept of "Unleashing the Five Senses," this concert ("Fermented Concert," August 11, 7:00 PM, Suntory Hall) will attempt to share a completely new musical experience that also incorporates the senses of taste and smell.
For everyone attending the concert, we have three fragrances specially created for the concert (provided by Ogawa Fragrance Co., Ltd.) and items to stimulate your taste buds (provided by Kasugai Seika Co., Ltd.).
Both of these items were decided upon by director Yoichi Ochiai and conductor Hikaru Ebihara after extensive testing. Where and how you will experience these items during the performance will be a surprise on the day. Come experience the marriage of "taste" and "aroma" with music at the venue!
Additionally, crowdfunding site READYFOR has prepared a support menu that includes a drink called "Symphony Dassai ~migaki~" (not for sale), which was brewed while listening to the performance piece "Symphony Dassai ~migaki~" for the concert. (Crowdfunding has now ended.)
Those watching online can enjoy a glass of Dassai, while those watching in person can bask in the afterglow of the concert and enjoy the combination of music and alcohol.

【Yoichi Ochiai Photography Exhibition "Orchestra and Mass"】
Wednesday, August 11th, 5:30 PM Open (scheduled) Suntory Hall Blue Rose
On the day of the concert, a photo exhibition featuring photographs taken by Yoichi Ochiai will be held at the venue. The title of the exhibition has now been decided as "Orchestra and Mass."
Vol.1, "Music Without Ears®," may evoke nostalgia for the pre-COVID era. In a complete departure from the project's pursuit of physicality and festivity, Vol.4 saw the first concert during the COVID-19 pandemic. This photo exhibition looks back on the project's progress over four events and five performances.
*Only those with tickets to the concert venue can enter.
