From Yamada Kazuki Anthem Project to "Yell for One" Project!
~ A project in which volunteers sing the national anthems of Olympic participating countries to cheer them on.
The Anthem Project, a five-year project led by Japan Philharmonic Orchestra Principal Conductor Kazuki Yamada, aims to record and distribute national anthems and other beloved songs from around the world ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. The project, which involves singing national anthems in the language of each country, was undertaken by the Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, with recording by King Records. The project features 206 national anthems, all recorded on seven CDs.

The Nippon Foundation Volunteer Support Center recently requested that urban volunteers sing the national anthems of Olympic participating countries to convey a spirit of hospitality and send encouragement. In response, the Yamada Kazuki Anthem Project Executive Committee cooperated in launching the "Yell for One" project, in which amateurs sing in the language of the country in question.
By July 19th, 204 "artworks" had been completed, with the participation of 1350 volunteers.

The day before the release of "Yell for One," a pre-release party was held for volunteers.
Among them, five groups were introduced under the following names, and the Japan Philharmonic presented two groups with the "Award for Simply the Most Beautiful Smiles."
