August 2, 2021 (Addendum)
Due to the government's declaration of a state of emergency for Tokyo from July 12th to August 22nd, and the implementation of emergency measures by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, restrictions have been imposed on holding events. Regarding the summer vacation concerts for which we are currently preparing, we will adhere to these restrictions and take measures to prevent the spread of infection while holding all performances.
The Japan Philharmonic Summer Concert has been running for 46 years as a program for children to experience live art, and is supported by many families as a place to share experiences and communicate. With the spread of COVID-19 depriving children of various opportunities to experience music, we have received many passionate messages from people who want to experience live music this year, and we would like to hold the concert in response to these voices. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in taking measures to prevent infection.
