10/13《Concert for ＿＿＿》 Fujikura Dai: Hybrid performance of "Longing from afar" confirmed!

10/13 Yoichi Ochiai x Japan Philharmonic Project VOL.4 "Concert of ____"

We are pleased to announce that we will be performing "Longing from afar" (hybrid performance world premiere), composed by Dai Fujikura.
This piece was created in May 2020 during the COVID-5 pandemic, when people were forced to stay at home. It is designed so that performers can perform remotely from their own locations.
This work, which can be played together even when physically apart, will have its live premiere on September 28th at Bonkuri Festival 2020, where the composer himself serves as artistic director.

With the world still battling the COVID-19 pandemic and musicians being unable to travel to and from one place to another, the Ochiai Yoichi x Japan Philharmonic Project has decided to premiere a new version of the score with the cooperation of Fujikura in a hybrid format of "stage performance + online" in order to realize "music that connects even when apart" at a live venue and explore new forms of "ensemble performance." Orchestral players from around the world are invited to participate in this online performance.
