[Amada Mitsuhiro] Born in Tokyo in 1935. After graduating from Toho Gakuen College of Music, he was a member of the former Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. He currently works as a freelance musician, while also assisting the Japan Philharmonic with his painting, a field in which he has shown talent since childhood. He continues to do so to this day.
This year marks the 37th year since Mitsuhiro Amada's illustrations of cats and other animals first appeared in the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra's calendar. These calendars have been enjoyed by many people and are in high demand everywhere. Looking at each of Amada's illustrations, one can almost hear the heartwarming music played by the animals. Amada's boundless love for animals, nature, and music exists in the hearts of each and every one of us. That is also the wish of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
