Nodoka Okisawa is a conductor who has won the Tokyo International Music Competition and the Besançon International Conductors Competition and is currently based in Berlin.
A recording of their first performance with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra at their Tokyo Regular Concert at Suntory Hall in July 2021 has been released.
The Mozart and Mendelssohn pieces that Okisawa performed appear graceful at first glance, but in fact contain profound content. This maestro, who has attracted attention from around the world, brought out from the Japan Philharmonic a clear and deep tone, refined yet passionate content, skillful tonal changes, and a graceful and passionate performance. The concentration and sense of release from the third movement of Mendelssohn to the climax of the final movement were also superb. The fulfilling performance that captivated the audience is vividly brought back to life.
The Japan Philharmonic Orchestra's original label, "JAPAN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA RECORDINGS," will be selling live performance recordings under three pillars: "JPO HISTORICAL," "JPO of JAPAN," and "JPO NOW." This recording is the first release of "JPO NOW," which will release outstanding performances that you should listen to now in excellent sound quality.
