Eurasia and Rome: A magnificent historical picture scroll depicted through music
The concert will begin with Borodin's Overture "Prince Igor," which weaves together the dynamism and majesty of folk dances. Following this, in Khachaturian's Violin Concerto, Japan Philharmonic Solo Concertmaster Masaaki Tanokura will vividly weave Armenian rhythms and passionate ideas with his rich tone and exceptional technique, captivating the audience. Mussorgsky's symphonic poem "Night on Bald Mountain" boldly depicts the darkness, mystery, and grotesqueness of the night, while the finale, Respighi's "Pines of Rome," dynamically intertwines scenes of ancient Rome. Enjoy a magnificent and dramatic musical journey, uniquely crafted by an orchestra.
