The long-awaited reunion is a masterpiece of sweetness and shock.

The bond that Finnish maestro Okko Kamu and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra have forged since their first collaboration in 1972 will be revived in Yokohama during the orchestra's 70th anniversary year. Kamu has deepened the "Finnish DNA" that lives within the Japan Philharmonic. This is a long-awaited reunion after a full 21 years.
The first half will feature Naoko Kawamura as soloist, performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2. The sweet melodies and rich sounds will reach deep into the hearts of listeners. The second half will feature Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring," a work that left a profound impact on 20th-century music history. This masterpiece, filled with overwhelming energy and vibrant rhythms, will be vividly brought to life by the mature baton of Kamu.
After many years of experience, the maestro's music has gained even more depth, and this special moment will see it resonate once again with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Don't miss it!
