Liebreich unleashes a transcendent soundscape
From 18th-century classical music to contemporary avant-garde music, May's program is packed with performances that will take you on a journey through musical time and space. The tense, concise beauty of Haydn's "Sorrow" lies within, conducted by Liebreich. Akira Miyoshi's "The Fishing Star," with soloist Haruma Sato, combines fantasy with profound depth, creating a spectacular worldview of sharp interplay. Toru Takemitsu's "Archipelago S." resonates throughout the space like an instrument, with its tranquility and lingering resonance. Finally, the final piece features R. Strauss's magnificent symphonic poem "Death and Transfiguration." This meticulously orchestrated masterpiece depicts the soul's ascension beyond physical death. Experience the ultimate aural experience as all sounds converge in one space, transcending all eras, styles, and emotions.
