Highlights
The supreme Mozart and heroes performed by the fiery Kobaken and the masters of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra
Conductor Laureate Kenichiro Kobayashi and Principal Clarinetist Hirotaka Ito will be performing a Yokohama Regular Concert. This time, we present a superb program featuring Beethoven's revolutionary symphonic work, "Eroica," and Mozart's elegant, dreamlike Clarinet Concerto. Ito has long been a leading figure in the Japan Philharmonic's clarinet section and is an irreplaceable presence. Naturally, Maestro Kobayashi has immense trust in him, and this concerto featuring these two musicians is sure to be a highly anticipated one. The second half of the concerto, "Eroica," is an ambitious work written by Beethoven when he was 34 years old. While early music-inspired up-tempo approaches are becoming more common these days, Ito and our Maestro Kobaken will deliver a dignified performance in a dignified style.
