TERUNUMA Yumeki
Born in Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture in 1994. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. Studied clarinet under Ryuichi Yoshinari, Yoko Okuma, Masaharu Yamamoto, and Taira Kaneko, and conducting under Yuji Yuasa. Won third place (no second place) in the 4th Akiyoshidai Music Competition, was selected for the 90th Music Competition of Japan, and has participated in the ARD Munich International Music Competition and the Prague Spring International Competition, among others.

Beethoven, Schubert, Bruckner... The 9th symphony was the last of all the great composers. There is a famous anecdote that Mahler believed the rumor that "writing the 9th symphony will lead to death," so he did not number his 9th symphony, Das Lied von der Erde. In the end, this turned out to be true. |
