Akihiro Tamura
TAMURA Akihiro
Born in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Started playing the violin at the age of four. Placed second in the 45th Yamaguchi Prefectural Student Music Competition. Graduated from the Department of Instrumental Music, Faculty of Music, Kunitachi College of Music, majoring in violin. Joined the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in February 2004, where he currently serves as first violinist. While active in a wide range of fields, including the hardcore string ensemble "Ishida Gumi," chamber music, live support, and music program recording, he also teaches the next generation of musicians at high schools and youth orchestras in Saitama Prefecture.
