Satoshi Takahashi
TAKAHASHI Satoshi
Born in Tokyo in 1968. He began studying violin under Takeshi Hidaka at the age of five. Switched to viola in high school, studying under Yoshiaki Nakatsuka. He also studied chamber music under Naoki Arimori, Kenji Watanabe, and Akiko Tazawa. In 1989, he entered the Department of Instrumental Music at the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts. While there, he received instruction from Hans, Peter Ochsenhafer at a seminar in Vienna. In 1994, he joined the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, a public interest incorporated foundation, where he remains a member to this day. In March 2024, he will hold a duo recital with pianist Naoki Arimori at HAKUJU HALL. He is also active in activities such as forming a quartet to support disaster-stricken areas.
