Sayumi Suehiro

Born in Tokyo. She began playing the violin at the age of four. She won a special prize at the 2013 Salzburg Mozart International Chamber Music Competition. In 2012, she participated in the 33rd Kusatsu Summer International Music Academy, studying under Sashiko Gavrilov. She performed in the gala concert for top performers. She also participated in the Mozarteum International Summer Music Academy in 2013, the summer course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2014, and the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy in 2015. In 2016, she gave an in-school recital for top performers in the Toho Orchestra Academy exam. She graduated from the Music Department of Toho Girls' High School and the Faculty of Music at Toho Gakuen University, where she completed her graduate studies and completed the Toho Orchestra Academy. She studied violin under Sachika Mizuno and Tomoko Kato.
