Shunichiro Sato
SATO Shun-ichiro
She began playing the violin at the age of six. She graduated from Showa University of Music and completed her graduate studies there. She has studied under Kenji Shimizu, Machia Saito, and Mie Kobayashi. She is also actively involved in chamber music, and as the leader of the Shonan Junior Plus Ensemble, she is spreading the joy of ensemble playing.
| What made you start playing an instrument? | When I was a child, I was in charge of presenting a bouquet at a string quartet concert. I thought it was cool. The person I was presenting it to was the concertmaster of a certain orchestra. |

| One of my favorite songs | Mendelssohn: Fingal's Cave
I especially love Mendelssohn's minor key pieces. Fingal's Cave is also in a minor key. There are moments when it suddenly becomes brighter, but for some reason, it doesn't feel that bright. It goes back and forth on the edge of light and darkness...I love that kind of atmosphere. I especially love the moment it enters measure 202! It's amazing!! |
