Yuka Obata
OBATA Yuka
Born in Mie Prefecture. Graduated from the music department of Toho Gakuen School of Music and Toho Gakuen University. Studied violin under Shizuko Ishii and viola under Nobuo Okada. Joined the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in 2000.
| What made you start playing an instrument? | When I was four years old, I received a violin as a birthday present, and soon after that I was able to learn from Mr. Aiji Hibino, who was the concertmaster of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. |
