Sekitoshi Nobusue
NOBUSUE Sekitoshi
Born in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture.
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts.
He studied horn under Koji Iizasa and Tsuyoshi Hidaka.
He was selected for the Horn Division at the 86th Japan Music Competition and placed third in the Horn Division at the 35th Japan Wind and Percussion Instrument Competition.
He participated in the woodwind quintet category of the 73rd ARD International Music Competition in Munich with the Quintet Itsuki, where he was a semi-finalist and won the special prize for new music.
He has previously performed as a soloist with the Aichi Chamber Orchestra and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
| What made you start playing an instrument? | Joining the brass band in junior high school (I chose the horn because I had one at home) |

| What is important in a performance | Sing carefully and well. When it comes to performing in an orchestra, I try to focus on following the flow, reading the atmosphere, and choosing the tone that is required. |
| One of my favorite songs | Recently (as of October 2025), I've been obsessed with Bach's Violin Concerto No. 2 (BWV 1042)! (No horns! LOL) |
