NISHIMURA Yuko

First Violin

After graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts High School of Music, he graduated from the Department of Instrumental Music, Faculty of Music. After studying at the European Summer Seminar and other events, he joined the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra (public interest incorporated foundation) as its first violin. In addition to performing in orchestral performances, he holds annual solo recitals and string trio recitals, and his 2011 recital commemorating his 25th anniversary of musical activity was highly praised in the music criticism column of the music magazine "Ongaku no Tomo." He has also served as a lecturer for the "Music Classes for People Over 60," a joint venture between the Japan Philharmonic and Suginami Ward, and continues to mentor the next generation of musicians.

What made you start playing an instrument? My sister played the piano, so I chose the violin!
What is important in a performance Relax. Immerse yourself in the music, but don't forget to stay calm.
One of my favorite songs Beethoven: String Quartet 18-4 in C minor

When I was a student, I was fascinated by string quartets. The four of us participated in a seminar at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, and this was the piece we chose for our first full-scale concert at a local venue. We delved into the finest details of each movement (in our own way!), and when we finished playing, the enthusiastic applause and encouraging curtain call from the audience made this a memorable piece that remains vividly etched in my memory as a young man.
