| What made you start playing an instrument? |
When I was in elementary school, I had the opportunity to listen to a harp performance up close, and I was captivated by its beautiful sound. It all started when I was impressed by the colors. |
| What is important in a performance |
The sounds written by the composer, the tone required at each time,I will do my best to deliver my music at these performances! |
| One of my favorite songs |
Mahler: Symphony No. 5
This work is also known for its fourth movement, "Adagio," being used in Visconti's film "Death in Venice."
The appeal of Mahler's works lies in their enormous scale, and while they sometimes feel insane, the beauty of their melodies makes you want to surrender yourself to them. This Fifth Symphony in particular was written during the happiest period of Mahler's life, and throughout it you can feel the deep and intense changes in his emotions, as if seeing his life through the years. Among them, the "Adagio" woven for strings and harp is filled with overflowing love for his wife Alma, and I always feel happy every time I play it. |
