Tsutomu Maruyama

Graduated from Musashino Academia Musicae. Won first place in the horn category at the 8th Japan Wind and Percussion Instrument Competition. In 1993, he studied abroad in Geneva, studying under B. Schneider. After serving as principal horn player for the Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra, he has released many CDs, including solo and chamber music.
He has released the solo CDs "Renaissance" and "Resonance." He has also supervised horn sheet music and written textbooks. He is currently a member of the Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra, Tsunobue Group, Custom Winds, and other groups. He will be a professor at Musashino Academia Musicae from 2025. He is also a permanent director of the Japan Horn Association.
