Motomichi Konakazawa

Born in Suwa, Nagano Prefecture, she began playing the violin at the age of four. She attended Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and completed her graduate studies there. In 2007, she switched to the viola. That same year, she performed with the Senzoku Philharmonic Orchestra at the university.
She has participated in the Canna Music Festival in Italy and the GMMFS in Korea, among others. She joined the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in November 2015. She has studied viola with Nobuo Okada, and chamber music with Nobuo Okada, Hiroshi Kigoshi, Toru Yasunaga, and Ayumi Ichino.
