| What made you start playing an instrument? | I started out learning the violin, but my teacher was very strict and my father liked the sound of the cello, so I switched to the cello. |

| What is important in a performance | Imagine how the composer wanted the piece to be performed. Express what I think and feel. I also pay attention to my manners on stage, and I go on stage hoping to make the time I spend with the audience a special one. |
| One of my favorite songs | Brahms: Symphony No. 2
Brahms composed this piece when he was 44 years old. Compared to the long 20 years it took to compose No. 1, No. 2 took just four months to compose. Perhaps due to its D major key, it is very bright and expansive. Brahms wrote many beautiful melodies for the cello in his symphonies, but the opening of the second movement of this piece is particularly wonderful, a moment that makes you feel glad to be a cellist. |
