Yuto Kasama
KASAMA Yuto
Vice Principal Trombonist of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
Born in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture.
After graduating from Fukushima Prefectural Yumoto High School, he graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a major in trombone, where he studied under Shinji Koga and Hiroyuki Kurogane.
Participated in the 2019 Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival.
Aoyama Music Foundation 2021 Scholarship Recipients
Performed with the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonia at the morning concert at the Tokyo University of the Arts Concert Hall.
He received the Tokyo University of the Arts Doseikai Newcomer Award and the Toride Mayor's Award.
| What made you start playing an instrument? | When I was in junior high school, I wanted to play the timpanis, so I joined the brass band. Percussion instruments are so cool. |
