Miu Ishizaki
ISHIZAKI Miu
He started playing the cello at the age of 8 and joined the orchestra in 2018.
After graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music High School, he won the Doseikai Award upon graduating from the Faculty of Music. He placed third in the university cello division at the 68th All-Japan Student Music Competition Tokyo Finals. He also won the Inoue Award at the 12th Viva Hall Cello Competition. He also won third place at the 2015 Salzburg Mozart International Chamber Music Competition and first place at the 4th Munetsugu Hall String Quartet Competition. He has studied under Nobuko Yamazaki, Yu Nakata, Mari Masumoto, and Kenji Nakagi.

| One of my favorite songs | My recent favorite piece is Shostakovich's Symphony No. 11. I played it at the Tokyo regular concert the other day, and I thought it was a piece that really showed how cool the orchestra is. |
