Satoshi Idoji

He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed his graduate studies there. While still a student, he performed with the Tokyo Soloists Chamber Orchestra, participating in tours in Poland and Spain. Since 1993, he has been a cellist with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and is also active throughout Japan as a chamber musician and soloist, including with the Iris String Quartet. He studied cello under the late Yasushi Horie, Takayuki Miki, and Reine Frachot.
