Yuya Homma
HOMMA Yuya
Born in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. Started playing percussion instruments at the age of 12. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed its graduate school.
While still an undergraduate, she was selected through an audition and performed at the 49th and 50th regular chamber music concerts. She also won the top prize at the 39th New Percussion Concert hosted by the Japan Percussion Association.
In addition to being actively involved in premieres and revivals of works, he has produced chamber music performances and performed in a wide range of genres, including architectural performances such as the "Aoki Jun Retirement Memorial Exhibition - Clouds and Breathing" and his own independent project "Poolside Imaginary Lines." He studied percussion instruments with Ryo Takada, Chieko Sugiyama, and Takafumi Fujimoto, and drums with Takashi Saito.

When I was a child, I heard "Jupiter" from this suite and it sparked my desire to join an orchestra. I loved the piece so much that I remember playing the melody with one hand at my first piano recital. |
